HOW IT WORKS

From signup to a live spot execution bot — the full SPOTGOBOT workflow.

This page breaks down, step by step, what happens when you create an account, connect an exchange via API, configure risk parameters, and activate the bot. The objective is transparency: what you do, what SPOTGOBOT executes, and where market and technical risk can impact fills and P&L.

Guided onboarding Automated execution 24/7 Risk controls you define

Execution flow overview

  1. Create an account and choose a plan.
  2. Connect the exchange via API (spot permissions, withdrawals disabled).
  3. Select a strategy and set position sizing + exposure caps.
  4. The bot streams prices and places orders based on your rules.
  5. Monitor fills, open orders, P&L, and audit logs in the dashboard.

Typical setup time: 5–10 minutes.

Control: you can pause, adjust, or disable execution at any time.

What you do, step by step

1

Create an account on SPOTGOBOT

Sign up with email and password (or another available login method) and choose a plan. Only after payment is your client area unlocked.

2

Connect your exchange

Follow the onboarding guide to create an API key on the exchange (e.g., Binance) with spot trading permissions only, with withdrawals disabled. Then enter the key and secret in SPOTGOBOT.

3

Choose the strategy

Select a preset (conservative, moderate, aggressive) or tune parameters such as position size per entry, max number of entries, distance filters, and cooldowns.

4

Activate the bot

With the strategy configured, activate the bot for that pair. From then on, SPOTGOBOT starts monitoring prices and triggering orders according to the rules you defined.

5

Monitor via the dashboard

In the dashboard, you can track open orders, fills, realized/unrealized P&L, available capital, and detailed execution logs.

6

Pause or adjust whenever you want

You can pause the bot, change strategy parameters, or switch everything off with just a few clicks. You’re always in control.

What SPOTGOBOT does behind the scenes

Bot engine (execution)

  • Reads your strategy configuration (pair, capital, parameters).
  • Streams prices (and, where applicable, order book data) from the exchange.
  • Applies rules such as trailing buy/sell, minimum distance, and time windows.
  • Places BUY/SELL orders via the exchange API and tracks fills.
  • Maintains an audit trail (logs) for every significant decision and action.

Risk and protection layer

  • Exposure limit per pair (won’t enter above the maximum value you set).
  • Maximum number of entries to cap downside and prevent over-allocation.
  • Won’t place SELLs below break-even (average entry + fees), to avoid unnecessary losses.
  • Safety checks to prevent execution in abnormal conditions (stale price, API errors, inconsistent state, etc.).

Dashboard updates

  • Updates used and available capital.
  • Shows open orders, fills, and trade history.
  • Calculates realized P&L and performance metrics per pair.
  • Displays structured logs per strategy so you can understand why each order was triggered.

Who it’s for — and who it’s not for

It’s for you if…

  • You want to automate spot entries/exits without leverage.
  • You can’t spend all day watching charts.
  • You accept market risk and understand there are no guaranteed returns.

It’s not for you if…

  • You’re looking for guaranteed returns or “easy money.”
  • You don’t accept the possibility of losing capital.
  • You’re not willing to learn the basics about crypto and risk.

Ready to see SPOTGOBOT in action?

The first step is straightforward: create an account and connect your exchange in spot mode (withdrawals disabled). From there, start with small size, validate the strategy behavior, and scale only when the execution and risk profile make sense for you.
